Cheval Blanc Seychelles is seeking a Senior Butler to deliver tailored guest services across its 52-villa resort, supporting villa arrivals and departures, guest requests, and Front Office operations. The role is full-time and permanent, and requires at least 3 years of similar experience in a luxury resort or hotel, fluency in English and Chinese, and a hospitality or hotel-school qualification.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver courteous, professional, efficient, and flexible service in accordance with Cheval Blanc standards.
- Maintain a well-groomed, clean, and pleasant appearance while on duty.
- Report promptly for duty and participate in daily departmental briefings.
- Understand the company philosophy, core values, responsibilities, daily events, and Maison facilities, including the spa, restaurants, and Kids Club.
- Know the local area and its attractions thoroughly to provide guests with requested information.
- Support Front Office Management with daily briefings, monthly interdepartmental meetings, guest arrival transfers, villa arrival and departure checks, monthly inventory checks, annual villa inventory orders, and in-villa checkouts.
- Complete daily reports and logbooks for the assigned section and submit them to the Guest Services Manager at the end of each shift.
- Update the guest agenda daily and keep track of guests’ locations.
- Welcome guests at their villas and provide orientation in accordance with Cheval Blanc standards.
- Offer luggage unpacking and packing services.
- Assist with guest laundry in coordination with Housekeeping.
- Arrange guest arrival and in-stay amenities in line with Cheval Blanc standards.
- Provide guests with the final invoice at 6 p.m. on the day before departure, together with a departure gift and General Manager card.
- Present a birthday or anniversary gift with a General Manager card for guest celebrations.
- Perform villa check-in and check-out procedures.
- Complete internal communication forms, including guest profile registration cards and pre-authorizations, within 24 hours of guest arrival.
- Greet and welcome guests graciously and politely, engaging in natural, spontaneous conversation in line with Cheval Blanc standards.
- Anticipate and promptly respond to guest expectations, acknowledging all guests.
- Assist with updating guest histories in the system and monitor stock inventory.
- Strive to exceed guest satisfaction and LQA (Leading Quality Assurance) results.
Qualifications
- Certificate in Hospitality/Tourism Management or graduation from a hotel school.
- Fluent in English and Chinese.
- At least 3 years of work experience in a similar role in a luxury resort or hotel.
- Food and Beverage service background is an advantage.
- Ability to present confidently, with strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and flexibility in responding to different situations in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
