Cheval Blanc St‑Tropez seeks a Reservations Intern in Saint‑Tropez — on-site internship managing hotel and restaurant bookings and front-office operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver a warm, attentive and professional telephone and in-person welcome in accordance with Cheval Blanc operational standards and LQA.
- Operate the telephone switchboard, manage call distribution and act as the first point of contact for hotel and restaurant enquiries and bookings.
- Handle hotel and restaurant reservations accurately, ensuring correct entry of rates, commission codes and client information while respecting pricing and sales policies.
- Identify guest needs and proactively propose appropriate services and experiences (restaurants, spa, beach, activities) to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.
- Maintain and update Cardex and guest preference records to enable bespoke service delivery.
- Anticipate and control daily arrivals to guarantee flawless arrival experiences.
- Manage administrative follow-up for bookings, including deposits, secure payments and balance reminders.
- Perform daily cash closing and reconciliation, and transmit supporting documentation to managers.
- Process requisitions and deliveries of supplies while observing the Maison's eco-responsible measures.
- Report technical or IT non-conformities through the proper channels and contribute to continuous operational improvement.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed higher education in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management or Business/Management.
- Strong sales aptitude and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluency in French and English (written and spoken); proficiency in a third language appreciated (Arabic, Russian, Chinese or Portuguese).
- Familiarity with luxury hotel standards and guest service protocols.
- Organisational rigour, precision and strong attention to detail.
- Discretion, responsiveness and an excellent interpersonal manner.
