Cheval Blanc seeks a Maintenance Technician in Saint-Tropez (fixed-term contract) to maintain HVAC, plumbing and safety systems at White 1921.
Role & Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, heating and plumbing systems to ensure continuous, safe operation.
- Carry out electrical troubleshooting and routine repairs, maintaining compliance with safety standards and the site's electrical habilitation requirements.
- Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of terraces and communal areas; organise and execute repairs and finishing works (carpentry, painting) as required.
- Inspect and maintain safety equipment to guarantee guest and staff security during all service periods.
- Report to and collaborate with the Responsible Technique on maintenance schedules, spare parts needs and incident follow‑up; propose improvements to facilities and procedures.
Qualifications
- CAP or Bac Pro in a maintenance-related trade (electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting) or equivalent vocational qualification.
- Valid electrical habilitation (habilitation électrique) at the time of hire.
- Professional fluency in French (oral and written); working knowledge of English.
- Demonstrated knowledge of safety norms and building maintenance best practices.
Skills
Experience
Minimum three years' practical experience in building or hotel maintenance, including prior hands-on exposure to plumbing or electrical work (internship or previous position acceptable). Experience in luxury hospitality or restaurant environments is an advantage.
Education
CAP or Bac Pro (vocational diploma) in an applicable maintenance discipline or equivalent professional training.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Saint-Tropez, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France, with easy access to Nice.
