Cheval Blanc St‑Barth (Saint Barthélemy) seeks a Maintenance Technician on contract to manage electrical, HVAC, plumbing and grounds upkeep.
Role & Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance across electrical, HVAC, plumbing and telephony systems to ensure continuous operation of hotel facilities.
- Execute timely repairs and diagnostics to restore equipment to full functionality and prevent recurrence.
- Maintain and inspect safety and security equipment to guarantee guest and staff protection and regulatory compliance.
- Support the Technical Manager and external contractors during major works, renovations and technical interventions.
- Care for exterior spaces including garden upkeep, terrace cleaning and pool maintenance to preserve the Maison’s standards of presentation.
- Record maintenance actions, report incidents and propose improvements to optimise reliability and guest comfort.
Qualifications
- CAP or Bac Professionnel in a maintenance-related discipline (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting or similar).
- Valid electrical habilitation (habilitation électrique) at the time of hire.
- Minimum three years’ practical experience in building or hotel maintenance, with prior hands-on exposure to plumbing or electrical work.
- Fluent French (oral and written); working knowledge of English.
- Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety standards and best practices.

Minimum 3 years of professional, hands-on experience in maintenance within a hotel, residential or commercial building environment, including practical experience in plumbing and/or electrical interventions.
Education
CAP or Bac Professionnel in electrical, plumbing, building maintenance, or a related technical field.

The successful candidate will be located in Saint Barthélemy, Saint Barthélemy, France, with easy access to San Juan.
