Cheval Blanc Seychelles is hiring a Laundry Manager in Mahé — lead linen and laundry operations for the luxury resort.
Role & Responsibilities
- Direct daily laundry operations, ensuring timely processing, high-quality garment and linen care, and compliance with Maison standards.
- Plan, delegate and supervise laundry team activities; recruit, train and develop Ambassadeurs to maintain exemplary service levels.
- Manage uniform and linen rooms, conduct monthly inventories, and control stock levels of textiles and cleaning chemicals.
- Oversee maintenance and optimal performance of laundry machinery; report equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs.
- Implement and enforce health, safety and operating procedures for correct machine usage and chemical handling.
- Coordinate with purchasing, tailors and other departments to anticipate needs for uniforms, specialty garments and linen replacements.
- Monitor production quality, respond to guest laundry requests and resolve complaints to preserve guest satisfaction.
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets, analyse financial data and identify opportunities for cost optimisation.
- Conduct regular team meetings, identify training needs with Human Resources and report disciplinary matters to the Executive Housekeeper.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper; adapt to evolving operational requirements.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Hospitality or related field, or equivalent vocational experience.
- Minimum three years’ experience as a Laundry Manager or in a similar supervisory laundry role within a luxury hotel or resort.
- Proven ability to develop and manage departmental budgets and interpret financial reports.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience in team development and performance management.
- Sound knowledge of laundry operations, garment and linen care standards, and machinery maintenance.
- Solid understanding of health, safety and chemical handling protocols applicable to laundry operations.
