At Cheval Blanc St-Barth, the Kitchen Commis supports the Chef de Partie with preparation and service at Langosteria Italian Restaurant, handling ingredient preparation, deliveries, cooking, plating and kitchen upkeep in line with HACCP standards. This is a full-time fixed-term contract (CDD).
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Chef de Partie with food preparation and the daily operation of the kitchen.
- Carry out preliminary product preparation, including peeling, cutting and washing, and receive deliveries.
- Participate in preparing and cooking dishes, following instructions and applying learned techniques.
- Set up and distribute dishes, ensuring careful presentation and adherence to plating instructions.
- Maintain the premises and equipment in accordance with HACCP standards and the Maison’s procedures, including sorting and removing waste.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of luxury hospitality or Michelin-starred dining.
- First experience, through an internship or a position, in a similar establishment.
- Proficiency in HACCP hygiene standards.
- Proficiency in cooking techniques.
- Passion for gastronomy.
- Precision and attention to detail.
- Availability, flexibility and adaptability.

Skills
Experience
Minimum 3 years; the role also requires first experience through an internship or position in a similar establishment.
Education
BEP, CAP or BAC PRO in Cuisine.
