Role & Responsibilities

  • Assist the Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations, including preparation, cooking and finishing of dishes to Maison standards.
  • Perform preparatory tasks (peeling, trimming, cutting, washing) and basic butchery/vegetable work with precision and speed.
  • Receive, inspect and store deliveries; ensure correct labeling, rotation and stock management.
  • Participate in mise en place, plating and presentation in strict adherence to recipes and dressage guidelines.
  • Maintain workstation, equipment and kitchen areas to hygiene and safety standards; participate in cleaning and closing procedures.
  • Follow instructions, learn culinary techniques from senior brigade members and contribute to consistent quality during service.

Qualifications

  • CAP, BEP or BP in Cuisine (or equivalent vocational culinary qualification).
  • Previous experience in an equivalent upscale or high-volume kitchen is indicated in the source and will be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of classical and contemporary culinary techniques, recipes and product handling.
  • Professional presentation and ability to represent the Maison with a polished, service-oriented demeanour.
