Role & Responsibilities
- Assist the Chef de Rang to deliver a welcoming, refined front-of-house experience and uphold Cheval Blanc service standards throughout guest arrival, seating, service and departure.
- Contribute to mise en place, point-of-sale preparation and room organisation; ensure cleaning, polishing and presentation of the dining room and service equipment.
- Apply and enforce HACCP hygiene standards in daily operations, including handling, storage and cleaning procedures.
- Support the service of food and beverages, assist in tailored presentation of dishes and maintain constant attention to guest needs.
- Manage clearing and continual cleaning during service; ensure upkeep and proper storage of service materials and equipment.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with kitchen, pantry (économat), cellar and stewarding to guarantee smooth service flows.
- Promote the hotel's restaurants and culinary events to guests and contribute to a seamless guest journey including cloakroom and seating.
Qualifications
- Vocational diploma in catering/hospitality (BEP, CAP or Bac Pro restauration) or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 3 years' professional experience in luxury hotel or Michelin-starred restaurant service (internships or initial positions in similar establishments will be considered).
- Fluent English (written and spoken) is mandatory; mastery of a third language such as Arabic, Russian, Chinese or Portuguese is valued.
- Practical knowledge of HACCP hygiene standards.
- Proven service experience at equivalent luxury or gastronomic standing with strong attention to presentation and detail.
- Sales aptitude, excellent interpersonal communication and a high level of representational skills.
