Role & Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily front desk operations to ensure efficient, professional execution of check-in, check-out and reservation procedures.
  • Provide coaching, direction and on-the-job mentoring to reception staff, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOP) and LQA service standards.
  • Anticipate and manage guest requests and complaints with tact and speed to secure exceptional, personalised stays.
  • Assist with shift rostering and personnel allocation to maintain balanced coverage and operational continuity at reception.
  • Maintain clear interdepartmental communication to coordinate guest services and ensure seamless delivery across the hotel.
  • Support upkeep and data accuracy of the property management system (PMS) and contribute to regular Front Office performance reports.
  • Safeguard guest confidentiality and oversee cash-handling procedures and financial controls at the front desk.
  • Ensure the reception and lobby environment is orderly, welcoming and compliant with the maison’s presentation standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–3 years' experience in a front office role at a luxury hotel, with supervisory or senior receptionist responsibilities.
  • Proven leadership and mentoring skills with demonstrable ability to motivate a multi‑national team.
  • Fluency in Italian and English; proficiency in a third language (for example French) strongly preferred.
  • Strong organisational aptitude, time management and attention to detail under pressure.
  • Customer-service orientation with excellent problem-solving skills and poise in high-stakes situations.
  • Familiarity with PMS operation, LQA standards, SOP compliance and front-office cash procedures.
