Role & Responsibilities

  • Assist the head sommelier in all aspects of wine service and cellar management to deliver a refined guest experience.
  • Prepare and maintain service areas following HACCP hygiene standards; ensure mise en place and cleanliness of the point of sale.
  • Manage provisioning and stock for the sommelier point of service to guarantee an uninterrupted and faultless service flow.
  • Execute front‑of‑house wine service — decanting, presentation and pairing guidance — under the sommelier’s direction.
  • Contribute to guest relations by creating a welcoming atmosphere and promptly addressing guest needs during service.

Qualifications

  • BEP/CAP or BAC Professionnel in Hospitality, Catering or Sommellerie (or equivalent vocational qualification).
  • Minimum three years' professional experience in high‑end hospitality or fine‑dining environments; experience in starred restaurants or luxury hotels preferred.
  • Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.
