Cheval Blanc Paris seeks entry-level Commis de Salle for fine dining service at luxury hotel in Paris, France.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Assist the Chef de Rang in creating a welcoming dining atmosphere and delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • Prepare and organize the service point in accordance with HACCP hygiene standards and Cheval Blanc procedures
  • Maintain consistent stock and supply of the dining area to ensure flawless service flow
  • Actively participate in the service of dishes and beverages, supporting the Chef de Rang with meticulous plating and presentation aligned with Cheval Blanc standards
  • Clear tables and maintain cleanliness of the dining room throughout service
  • Coordinate and communicate with kitchen, pantry, cellar, and stewarding departments to ensure harmonious service
  • Serve as a brand ambassador, contributing to a memorable experience from guest arrival through departure, including seating, coat check, and service
  • Promote the restaurant and catering events organized by the hotel and Cheval Blanc properties

Qualifications

  • BEP, CAP, or BAC PRO qualification in culinary or hospitality
  • Knowledge of luxury hotel or Michelin-starred restaurant environments
  • Minimum of one prior internship or entry-level position in a comparable establishment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Micros POS, and La Fouchette reservation systems
  • Fluent English (written and oral)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong sense of hospitality, courtesy, and guest-centric service
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and strong organizational skills
  • Empathy and proactive problem-solving abilities
