Cheval Blanc St-Barth seeks Commis de Rang for beachfront dining. Entry-level position with housing, meals, uniforms. Saint Barthélemy.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Chef de Rang in creating welcoming service atmosphere at the beach restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest experiences aligned with Cheval Blanc standards
- Maintain HACCP hygiene standards while preparing and organizing service stations, cleaning, and setting up according to house procedures
- Supply and stock service points, ensuring impeccable service flow and meal presentation that meets Cheval Blanc luxury standards
- Actively participate in food and beverage service, assisting the beach Chef de Rang and ensuring customized presentation according to brand standards
- Clear tables and maintain cleanliness throughout service, ensuring constant beach upkeep and proper maintenance of all service equipment
- Coordinate and communicate with kitchen, provisions, wine service, and stewarding teams to ensure harmonious service operations
- Promote restaurants and special dining events organized by the hotel and Cheval Blanc properties to guests
- Contribute to creating memorable experiences from guest arrival through placement, coat check, service, and departure
Qualifications
- BEP/CAP/BAC PRO in Hospitality or Culinary Arts
- Fluent English and French (spoken and written)
- Knowledge of luxury hospitality or Michelin-starred restaurant operations
- Minimum one prior experience in similar establishment (internship or position)
- Proficiency in HACCP hygiene standards
- Mastery of service techniques
- Passion for gastronomy and culinary excellence
