Cheval Blanc St-Barthélemy seeks a Commis de Rang in Saint Barthélemy — full‑time fixed‑term role delivering exceptional restaurant service at a luxury beachfront Maison.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assist the Chef de Rang to deliver a welcoming, high‑calibre guest experience in accordance with Cheval Blanc service standards.
- Prepare and organise the dining point of sale, ensure mise en place and maintain continuous cleanliness of the dining room.
- Apply and uphold HACCP hygiene standards in daily operations and during service.
- Manage supplies and replenishment for a seamless service flow; support stock handling for the restaurant point of sale.
- Participate actively in the service of food and beverages, ensuring presentation and timing meet Maison specifications.
- Clear and clean tables throughout service and maintain service equipment and stewarding areas.
- Coordinate and communicate closely with kitchen, economat, cellar and stewarding teams to ensure harmonious service.
- Contribute to guest relations from arrival to departure and promote hotel restaurants and F&B events to guests.
Qualifications
- BEP/CAP or Bac Pro in restaurant/catering, or equivalent vocational qualification.
- First professional experience or internship in luxury hotel or étoilé restaurant preferred.
- Good command of French and English (oral and written).
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of HACCP hygiene standards.
- Proven mastery of basic food and beverage service techniques and mise en place.
