Cheval Blanc St-Barth seeks a Commis de Cuisine to join the culinary brigade in Saint Barthélemy. Entry-level kitchen role in ultra-luxury Caribbean hospitality.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Assist the Chef de Partie in the preparation of dishes and kitchen operations
  • Execute preliminary food preparation tasks including peeling, cutting, and washing of ingredients
  • Receive and inspect incoming merchandise
  • Participate in the confection and elaboration of dishes while following precise instructions and applying learned culinary techniques
  • Plate and portion dishes, ensuring meticulous presentation and adherence to plating guidelines
  • Maintain kitchen facilities and equipment in accordance with HACCP standards and house procedures
  • Contribute to waste sorting and disposal within sustainability and hygiene protocols
  • Support the kitchen brigade in delivering an exceptional guest experience through consistent culinary excellence

Qualifications

  • BEP, CAP, or BAC PRO in Cuisine
  • Knowledge of luxury hospitality or Michelin-starred restaurant operations
  • First professional experience (internship or position) in a similar establishment
