Cheval Blanc St‑Barth seeks a Commis Bartender in Saint Barthélemy (CDD). Full‑time, guest-facing role focused on cocktails, cellar management and luxury service.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with refined hospitality and guide them through a curated beverage experience, advising on cocktails, spirits and pairings.
- Prepare and serve cocktails and non‑alcoholic drinks to Cheval Blanc standards, executing recipes precisely while contributing creative compositions to the bar menu.
- Work in close coordination with dining room and kitchen teams and under the direction of the Chef Barman to ensure seamless service.
- Manage bar cellar and stock: receiving deliveries, organising storage, conducting inventory and supporting ordering processes.
- Maintain rigorous hygiene and safety standards, ensuring cleanliness of service areas and compliance with local regulations.
- Handle billing, cashing and check‑out procedures with attention to detail and discretion.
- Contribute to an elevated guest experience through attentive listening, personalised recommendations and consistent service courtesy.
Qualifications
- Vocational training in hospitality and food & beverage or an MC Barman certification.
- Previous experience in luxury hotel or haute cuisine environments preferred; entry‑level candidates with strong training considered.
- Fluent spoken and written French and English; proficiency in a third language is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of hygiene and safety standards applicable to bar operations.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a high‑service, high‑tempo environment with excellent interpersonal skills.
