Cheval Blanc Porto Cervo seeks a Chef de Rang — temporary, on-site Food & Beverage role delivering fine-dining service in Sardinia.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver impeccable front-of-house service, ensuring outstanding first and last impressions and professionally handling guest requests, questions and complaints.
- Manage an assigned station autonomously, maintaining smooth service flow and adherence to LQA and internal quality standards.
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of menus, beverages and wines; advise guests and provide personalised recommendations.
- Apply suggestive selling and upselling techniques, with particular emphasis on wine pairing and premium offerings.
- Prepare and maintain mise en place and the presentation of service in line with fine-dining standards.
- Accurately perform cash and payment operations, including invoicing and money-handling procedures.
- Build and sustain positive guest relationships to encourage satisfaction and loyalty.
- Collaborate with the wider F&B and hotel teams, supporting and supervising colleagues when required and participating in training and team events.
- Comply with company policies and report any operational or disciplinary issues to management.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in Food & Beverage service; experience in luxury hotel or fine-dining environments preferred.
- EU passport or valid work permit for Italy.
- Excellent verbal communication and guest-relations skills.
- Flexible attitude, strong team spirit and willingness to learn and develop.
- Reliable numeracy for handling payments and billing procedures.

Entry-level; prior F&B exposure is required and experience in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant is strongly preferred.
Education
Secondary education or vocational qualification in hospitality or culinary service preferred.
