Cheval Blanc Porto Cervo seeks a Chef de Rang (temporary, on-site) to deliver exceptional F&B service at its luxury Sardinia resort.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver an impeccable guest experience from first to last contact, professionally handling requests, inquiries and complaints.
- Manage a designated station autonomously, ensuring smooth, efficient service consistent with LQA and resort standards.
- Maintain and develop guest relationships to maximize satisfaction and repeat business.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of menus, beverages and wines, and advise guests with personalized recommendations.
- Apply upselling and suggestive-selling techniques, with particular emphasis on wine pairings and premium offerings.
- Prepare and maintain mise en place and service presentation to exacting quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with the F&B and wider resort teams, providing support and supervision when necessary.
- Perform cash handling, billing and payment procedures accurately and in accordance with company policy.
- Participate in mandatory training, team events and promptly report disciplinary or operational issues.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in Food & Beverage service, preferably within a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and a flexible, guest-focused attitude.
- Strong team orientation, curiosity and a desire for professional growth.
- In-depth knowledge of food, beverage and wine service; ability to make tailored recommendations.
- Valid EU passport or work permit eligible for employment in Italy.

Entry-level position; prior Food & Beverage experience is preferred, ideally gained in a luxury hotel or fine-dining environment.
Education
Secondary school diploma; vocational or professional training in hospitality/restaurant service preferred.
