Cheval Blanc Paris recruits a Banquets Manager to lead luxury event operations with team management, guest relations, and F&B expertise in this full-time role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Supervise banquets operations and ensure compliance with hotel quality standards and internal procedures
- Oversee service execution from guest arrival through departure, maintaining exceptional standards throughout
- Cultivate and maintain strong guest relationships with discretion and confidentiality
- Anticipate guest needs and respond to requests to ensure optimal satisfaction and loyalty
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date guest cardex files and preference profiles
- Collaborate with security to ensure guest safety and comfort
- Handle guest complaints and grievances with compassion and in accordance with hotel procedures
- Propose solutions to enhance products and services offered to clientele
- Ensure consistent application of quality standards across the banquets service
- Develop and retain clientele; promote hotel services and the broader Cheval Blanc collection
- Coordinate seamlessly between event venues, kitchens, and pastry departments
- Ensure proper maintenance of equipment, facilities, and HACCP protocol compliance across the team
- Develop and manage financial forecasts for the banqueting point of sale
- Monitor all service-related costs and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability
- Oversee inventory management and collaborate with procurement to ensure adequate supplies
- Participate in vendor selection, supplier relations, and price negotiation with the purchasing department
- Track key performance indicators including guest satisfaction, revenue, and team satisfaction
- Recruit, train, onboard, and manage banqueting personnel; organize schedules and workflows
- Ensure compliance with labor law and internal management procedures
- Transmit all relevant client information and instructions to team members
- Report any abnormal situations or safety risks to management
Qualifications
- Diploma in food service, catering, or hospitality (CAP, BEP, BAC PRO, or higher)
- Mastery of HACCP food hygiene and safety protocols
- Knowledge of luxury hospitality and/or Michelin-starred gastronomic establishments
- Solid understanding of sommelier and gastronomic principles
- Demonstrated excellence in guest relations and service orientation
- Strong communicative skills, both written and oral
- Proven ability to manage and lead teams (recruitment, training, organization, development, evaluation)
- Confirmed sales and communication aptitudes
- Financial management competency, including cost control and revenue analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Micros, and Opera PMS systems
- Fluent English (written and oral)
- Fluency in a third language is valued
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in a luxury hospitality or fine dining establishment, with at least 2–3 years in a role with direct responsibility for banqueting or event service operations and team management.
Education
Diploma in food and beverage service, catering, or hospitality management (CAP, BEP, BAC PRO, or higher qualification). Candidates with superior hospitality credentials are encouraged to apply.
