Cheval Blanc Paris, an ultra-luxury Palace hotel in central Paris, seeks an Assistant Director of Housekeeping to oversee guest room cleanliness, suite maintenance, and public space operations. The role demands expert supervision of housekeeping teams, rigorous quality control aligned with brand standards, and proactive guest satisfaction management. Reporting to the Director of Housekeeping, this position ensures optimal guest comfort and operational excellence across 72 keys and all hotel facilities.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage housekeeping operations during the Director's absence, ensuring continuity and adherence to quality standards
- Supervise and coordinate guest room and public space cleaning teams, enforcing hygiene, safety, and brand quality protocols
- Maintain comprehensive guest preference records (Cardex) and anticipate guest needs to ensure exceptional service delivery
- Oversee linen inventory management, laundry operations, and ambassador uniform maintenance in collaboration with the Linen Supervisor
- Monitor and control guest room maintenance requests and coordinate with the Technical Department for equipment and fixture repairs
- Handle guest complaints and requests with discretion and professionalism, resolving issues according to established procedures
- Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor housekeeping staff while fostering team cohesion and professional development
- Supervise inventory levels and procurement in partnership with the Supply Department, ensuring optimal stock quantity and quality
- Conduct regular inventory audits and implement corrective actions to meet financial targets
- Monitor key performance indicators including guest satisfaction, revenue per available room, staff satisfaction, and operational cost efficiency
- Develop and execute action plans based on performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
- Guarantee equipment maintenance standards and ensure the team's comprehensive knowledge of operational procedures
- Communicate critical guest information and operational directives to all team members to ensure seamless service
- Build and nurture client loyalty; promote hotel services and the broader Cheval Blanc Collection
- Contribute strategic recommendations for enhancing guest experience and service offerings
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of housekeeping or guest services management experience in luxury hospitality
- BTS in Hotel Management and Hospitality (BTS Hôtellerie-Restauration), or equivalent professional qualification (BP Gouvernante, CAP Services Hôteliers, or Bac in Hotel Technology)
- Proficiency in Opera Cloud property management software
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to service excellence
- Strong organizational, administrative, and leadership capabilities with proven initiative

Bachelor-level hospitality qualification required: BTS in Hotel Management and Hospitality (BTS Hôtellerie-Restauration option A), or equivalent such as BP Gouvernante (Head Housekeeper Diploma), CAP Services Hôteliers (Hotel Services Certificate), or Bac in Hotel Technology.
