Chaumet seeks Workshop Project Manager (Paris, permanent) to oversee haute joaillerie atelier operations, project delivery, and performance optimization.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain reverse schedules for all internal and cross-departmental projects (thematic collections, special commissions, routine developments), ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines, and quality specifications
  • Animate internal project teams spanning Development, Gemstones, CAD, Workshop Leadership, and Bench Chiefs according to established schedules
  • Manage subcontracting capacity and communicate production requirements to guarantee Quality/Cost/Timeline compliance
  • Coordinate and monitor interventions related to after-sales service, inventory maintenance, heritage preservation, and prototype development
  • Organize quality control procedures in coordination with bench chiefs
  • Pilot and optimize artisan workload across all production stages, managing contingencies and operational variables
  • Define and actively manage atelier performance indicators, with proactive reporting and analysis
  • Propose cost and timeline optimization initiatives and conduct performance analysis of subcontractors
  • Report on internal artisan productivity metrics in collaboration with the controller of management
  • Lead long-term atelier transformation projects, particularly regarding sustainable transition initiatives (gold management, ISO 14001 certification, RJC standards, etc.)
  • Oversee atelier inventory management and optimize precious metal and gemstone stock levels
  • Monitor and manage atelier operational and capital expenditure budgets
  • Supervise and train one administrative management assistant

Qualifications

  • Master's degree from a business school or engineering school
  • Minimum 5–7 years of project management experience in a manufacturing or artisanal workshop environment
  • Proven expertise in project improvement methodologies with strong reporting and analytical capability
  • Proficiency with SAP enterprise resource planning software
  • Fluency in Neo Fugu software is advantageous
  • Exceptional rigour, reliability, and discretion
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Familiarity with or affinity for the haute joaillerie sector is desirable

Experience
