Chaumet seeks Workshop Director to lead high jewelry atelier at Place Vendôme, Paris. Luxury jewelry leadership role managing 20+ artisans.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Ensure perpetuation and excellence of Chaumet's distinctive jewelry craftsmanship and technical standards across all workshop disciplines
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of approximately 20 artisans organized by functional pole (jewelry design, setting, polishing), fostering a positive environment aligned with directional objectives
  • Organize and optimize workshop workflows, allocate tasks based on team capabilities and project requirements, and manage production scheduling to meet delivery commitments
  • Evaluate team performance and progression, build accountability within the workforce, and provide mentorship to support skill development and career advancement
  • Plan production capacity expansion through recruitment and subcontracting management as required
  • Drive operational efficiency by proactively identifying optimization opportunities in production flows and circuits to reduce lead times and costs
  • Monitor and maintain comprehensive performance indicators, maximize productivity metrics, and deliver regular reporting to senior leadership
  • Manage operational budgets including Opex, travel, and vendor invoicing
  • Assess capital requirements for equipment and facility improvements
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, quality procedures, and regulatory compliance standards

Qualifications

  • Formal training or apprenticeship in jewelry making or high jewelry craftsmanship
  • Minimum 20 years of professional experience in high jewelry production or luxury jewelry manufacturing
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams of 15+ artisans or craftspeople
  • Proven track record optimizing production workflows and cost structures in luxury manufacturing environments
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing operational budgets
  • Experience with production planning, resource allocation, and capacity management in specialized craft environments
