Chaumet seeks Workshop Administrative Manager (permanent, Paris). Lead high-jewelry atelier operations, SAP production orders, and precious metals logistics.
Role & Responsibilities
- Create and manage manufacturing orders within SAP, including comprehensive cost allocation for subcontracting, precious metals, components, and productive labor hours
- Administer subcontracting relationships on SAP across specialized trades (engravers, polishers, setters, stringers, CAD specialists), including purchase orders, cost tracking, and invoice processing
- Oversee delivery logistics for finished products—including internal manufacturing orders, service and maintenance components, inventory stock, and heritage pieces—encompassing packaging, warehouse management, SAP and NEO FUGU receipt documentation, and product pricing documentation
- Manage precious metal account supplies with subcontractors and external vendors through demand analysis, purchase order validation on SAP, and metal reprocessing optimization
- Control metal flows including ingots, pre-alloys, and other materials through order placement, inventory entry and exit, stock movement tracking on SAP, in-workshop logistics, weighing, inventory counts, and metal purity assays
- Coordinate gemstone supplies by anticipating and communicating requirements to the Stone Department, placing vendor orders, managing SAP inventory receipt and entry, allocating stones to manufacturing orders, overseeing in-workshop flow management, and preparing pavilion-setting documentation at piece delivery
- Administer workshop cost centers encompassing tools, maintenance, and supplies
- Manage annual dismantling processes in collaboration with High Jewelry production, central inventory, and cost control teams
- Execute routine workshop procurement and invoice management
Qualifications
- Supervisory or senior technician level
- Minimum 5 years of production management and logistics flow experience
- Hands-on experience in a jewelry or precious metals manufacturing workshop is mandatory
- Demonstrated proficiency with SAP enterprise resource planning systems
- Experience managing subcontracting relationships and supplier coordination
- Strong inventory and cost center management capabilities
