Chaumet seeks an experienced Watchmaking Development Manager in Nyon, Switzerland to lead watch design and CAD teams.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and design conception of new watch collections, ensuring alignment with brand vision and market positioning
  • Conduct pre-development studies to assess technical complexity, evaluate feasibility of product marketing requests, and define necessary resources and timelines
  • Develop comprehensive technical documentation while balancing technical requirements, industrial constraints, and aesthetic criteria
  • Oversee and mentor a team of project managers and CAD designers, supporting their professional development and ensuring sustained team excellence
  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives across the design bureau to enhance operational efficiency
  • Manage departmental resources and personnel allocation
  • Prepare activity reporting and performance dashboards
  • Participate in design and industrialization reviews
  • Provide technical support and liaison to methods, quality, and industrialization departments

Qualifications

  • Formal horological or technical watch design training
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a comparable watchmaking development or design leadership role
  • Proficiency in CREO CAD software (preferred)
  • Advanced knowledge of Windchill PLM systems (preferred)
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office suite
  • Working knowledge of SAP systems
  • Fluent in both French and technical English
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to inspire confidence, build team cohesion, and deliver sustained excellence
