PR & External Relations Manager at Chaumet, Shanghai. Lead celebrity, influencer, and media relations for luxury watches and jewellery brand.
Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop relationships with 100+ key celebrities and influencers, orchestrating 10+ monthly luxury styling and engagement activities
- Manage all aspects of celebrity and influencer project execution, including content production, liaison coordination, quality control, media monitoring, and media purchasing
- Act as the primary in-house media liaison for both earned and paid channels, managing relationships with 300+ media and social media contacts
- Oversee press material development, including briefing, proofreading, and localization in Chinese and English
- Plan and execute key seasonal campaigns (Valentine's Day, Chinese Valentine's Day, Christmas) with comprehensive media activation strategies
- Monitor and report on PR agency and social media seeding agency performance against KPIs and annual communications calendars
- Produce monthly competitive media exposure analysis and clipping reports for distribution to headquarters
- Develop and manage event and marketing communication project publicity plans in collaboration with line management
- Execute general brand positioning initiatives across social platforms, particularly Little Red Book, and manage socialite-focused branding activities
- Support strategic director with additional celebrity, influencer, PR, and social media focused initiatives
Qualifications
- University degree or equivalent
- Demonstrated expertise in luxury industry PR and communications
- Strong understanding of Chinese luxury retail and consumer market dynamics
- Refined aesthetic judgment and ability to establish high-end brand standards
- Excellent command of both Chinese and English for written and verbal communications
- Proven track record in managing multiple high-profile relationships and campaigns simultaneously
- Proficiency with PowerPoint and core office software
Skills
Experience
Minimum 10 years of professional experience in PR and communications, with at least 8 years of hands-on PR campaign management in the luxury sector or at a leading PR agency. Candidates should demonstrate traceable success with high-profile client and media relationships in competitive markets.
