Chaumet seeks a High Jewelry Workshop Manager for its High Jewelry Industrial Division in Paris, leading an in-house workshop of around 20 artisans across jewelry making, stone setting and polishing. The role oversees craftsmanship, team development, production planning, budgets, productivity and quality and safety procedures. Permanent, full-time, on-site position.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Safeguard and perpetuate Chaumet’s exceptional craftsmanship and bring the Maison’s creativity and style to life.
  • Lead and motivate the in-house workshop’s artisans, valuing their trades and skills.
  • Contribute to the development, production, delivery and realization of creations in close collaboration with other departments.
  • Manage a team of around 20 artisans across jewelry making, stone setting and polishing.
  • Lead the team in a positive working environment to achieve management objectives.
  • Organize work and teams by assigning tasks and planning workloads according to needs, skills and requirements.
  • Support teams in their work and skills development; assess performance and progress, encourage ownership of responsibilities such as organization and quotations, and sustain motivation.
  • Increase production capacity when required through recruitment and subcontracting management.
  • Manage production by matching workloads to workshop skills, adjusting deliveries, finding technical solutions, and optimizing production flows and circuits to reduce lead times and costs.
  • Report information through performance indicators and maximize productivity.
  • Manage budgets, including Opex, travel and expenses, and invoices.
  • Assess investment needs for equipment and facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety rules and quality procedures.

Qualifications

  • Initial training as a jeweler.
  • At least 10 years of experience; the role profile also specifies at least 20 years of successful experience in the sector.
  • Excellent communication skills, versatility and pragmatism.
  • Team spirit and managerial accountability.
