Chaumet Heritage Assistant internship in Paris; 6-month heritage and collections position at Place Vendôme for Bac +5 candidates.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Populate and maintain the collection management database, creating and enriching documentary files for artworks in paper and digital formats
  • Monitor auction sales and update tracking tables to maintain current market data on Chaumet pieces
  • Assist with research activities including authentication research to support after-sales services, auction house commissioners, and antique jewelry merchants
  • Catalogue and describe books housed in the Heritage Department library
  • Execute logistical and administrative tasks including coordinating valuable shipments, managing team schedules, organizing team meetings with minutes, obtaining and tracking quotations
  • Manage the Heritage Department's contact database by adding, updating, and sourcing missing information
  • Organize exhibitions and events, including artwork inventory lists, loan correspondence and contracts, arranging secure transportation, and assisting with installation and dismantling
  • Participate in guided tours of the heritage installation located in the 12 Place Vendôme salons

Qualifications

  • Bac +4 or Bac +5 qualification in history, heritage studies, or art history (such as École du Louvre), business school, or equivalent university degree
  • Knowledge of jewelry history or gemmology preferred
  • Methodical mindset with rigorous attention to detail

Experience
