Chaumet seeks Finished Product Quality Controller in Valenza, Italy – luxury jewelry quality inspection role reporting to BMC.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct finished product quality controls at BMC facilities and partner workshops across Valenza and surrounding areas, performing 100% inspections or sampling according to defined parameters
- Inspect Accessory Jewelry, Precious Jewelry, and High Jewelry pieces against the Chaumet Client Maison Quality Charter and associated quality management documents
- Identify, evaluate, and isolate non-conformities; escalate quality alerts and monitor corrective actions in liaison with manufacturing workshops
- Record inspection results rigorously in dedicated control software and prepare detailed control reports for stakeholders including suppliers, the Chaumet Quality team, and Supply Chain
- Conduct structured debriefings with suppliers to present non-conformities and defects, and enforce compliance with required quality standards
- Provide periodic reports to the On-site Quality team and Production Quality Manager; participate in weekly coordination meetings and process/product audits
- Propose quality improvements based on daily controls and provide production feedback during development and transition phases
- Contribute to updating and refining the Chaumet Client Maison Quality Charter and participate in problem-solving workshops
Qualifications
- Professional qualification in jewelry or technical training (CAP Jeweler, Brevet des Métiers d'Art, or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years of confirmed professional experience in quality control or workshop operations within high jewelry, jewelry, or luxury industry sectors
- Exceptional product sensitivity and unwavering quality standards
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a field-based, multi-site environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to engage diplomatically and firmly with diverse stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Fluent in Italian and French; English proficiency is advantageous
- Valid driving license required

Minimum 5 years of confirmed professional experience in quality control or workshop environments within the high jewelry, jewelry, or luxury industry sector.
Education
Professional qualification in jewelry or technical training, such as CAP Jeweler (Certificat d'Aptitude Professionnelle) or Brevet des Métiers d'Art, or equivalent qualification.
