Chaumet Paris seeks Assistant Methods Engineer apprentice (1 year, Sept 2026). Technical role in jewelry manufacturing—ideal for engineering graduates.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in continuous improvement projects for jewelry products, focusing on quality reduction, warranty returns optimization, and manufacturing process enhancement
  • Analyze manufacturing specifications and identify opportunities for product re-engineering and process optimization
  • Develop and implement repair procedures in collaboration with the Quality and After-Sales Service teams
  • Ensure regular updates to jewelry technical documentation including CAD standards and design specifications
  • Define operating procedures for the utilization of technical tools and systems
  • Support the deployment and integration of new industrial tools including RDM software
  • Create and compile comprehensive technical manufacturing files incorporating 3D models, production plans, and manufacturing schedules
  • Validate and archive technical documentation within the PLM system and RFID software
  • Coordinate the flow of physical production elements with external suppliers
  • Participate in deviation controls between manufactured pieces and their digital specifications

Qualifications

  • Background in mechanical engineering, materials science, or project management (Bac+2 through Bac+5 level)
  • Proficiency with CAD software
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and problem-solving approaches
  • Strong technical aptitude and genuine interest in jewelry manufacturing processes
  • Demonstrated initiative, intellectual curiosity, autonomy, and analytical rigor
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, active listening ability, and pedagogical capacity
  • Fluent English (mandatory); Italian knowledge is advantageous
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge of industrial and jewelry manufacturing processes is advantageous
