Chanel is hiring a Watches & Fine Jewelry High‑End Manager in Shanghai to lead luxury watch and jewelry sales and VIP client relations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop boutique performance for watches and fine jewelry, delivering sales targets, margin objectives and KPIs for the high‑end segment.
  • Build and maintain long‑term relationships with UHNW and VIP clientele through bespoke clienteling, private appointments and curated events.
  • Coach, mentor and manage boutique sales advisers and specialists; set individual targets, run performance reviews and implement ongoing training programs focused on horology and gemmology.
  • Oversee merchandising and visual presentation of timepieces and jewelry to the maison’s standards; coordinate seasonal rollouts, inventory placement and stock replenishment.
  • Manage inventory control, security protocols and after‑sales service coordination with workshops and regional teams.
  • Collaborate with regional management, HQ product and marketing teams to execute promotions, trunk shows and exclusive client experiences.
  • Provide market intelligence on competitive activity, client buying behaviour and product demand to inform assortment and stock strategy.

Qualifications

  • Proven managerial experience in luxury watches and/or fine jewelry retail or wholesale, preferably within an international maison.
  • Deep knowledge of horology and gemmology; formal accreditation (e.g. WOSTEP, GIA) is a strong advantage.
  • Demonstrated track record of developing and retaining VIP clientele and achieving high‑value sales.
  • Fluent commercial acumen with experience managing P&L drivers, KPIs and inventory controls.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire a sales‑focused team.

Experience

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, luxury brand management, hospitality, horology or a related field preferred; professional certifications in watchmaking or gemmology advantageous.
