Chanel in Milan is hiring a Watches & Fine Jewelry Advisor (Chinese speaker) on a temporary contract — boutique sales, clienteling and horology expertise required.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional, anticipatory client service to high-net-worth and Chinese-speaking clientele in the Milan boutique.
- Develop and maintain a personalised client portfolio through proactive clienteling, appointment management and follow-up.
- Present and demonstrate watches and fine jewelry with authoritative product knowledge on materials, techniques and provenance.
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to store KPIs through consultative selling, upselling and cross-selling.
- Process sales transactions, maintain accurate CRM records and ensure confidentiality of client information.
- Coordinate after‑sales activities including repairs, servicing and liaising with central after‑sales teams when required.
- Maintain boutique standards for presentation, inventory control and visual merchandising; ensure brand compliance and loss-prevention protocols.
- Collaborate with the store team to support events, trunk shows and VIP appointments during the temporary assignment.
Qualifications
- Fluent Chinese speaker (verbal and written) — ability to conduct high‑level sales conversations and build rapport with Mandarin and/or Cantonese clients.
- Proven luxury retail experience, preferably 2+ years selling watches and/or fine jewelry within a maison or high-end retailer.
- Demonstrable track record of clienteling and meeting individual sales targets; strong relationship-building skills with HNW clients.
- Excellent presentation skills, discretion and professional demeanour appropriate for private client interactions.
- Right to work in Italy for the duration of a temporary contract.

Experience
Minimum of approximately 2 years' experience in luxury retail sales with direct exposure to watches and/or fine jewelry; proven ability to cultivate and maintain a portfolio of affluent clients, particularly Chinese-speaking customers.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in luxury retail, gemology or horology is advantageous.
