CHANEL seeks a Visual Merchandising Specialist to oversee boutique visual standards, window and floor merchandising, display logistics, and visual documentation in Boston. This is a full-time, in-store role requiring a minimum of 2 years of related experience and an associate degree in Display and Exhibition Design or a comparable art- or fashion-related course of study.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Oversee coordination of visual merchandising standards in the boutique during operating hours and events.
  • Work with the Visual Lead to implement and maintain visual merchandising guidelines, including window installations and the proper setup and use of fixtures, selling tools, and mannequins.
  • Communicate and oversee visual merchandising direction, animations, and guidelines with Image Ambassadors and boutique management.
  • Build and maintain working relationships with boutique management to ensure merchandise initiatives are maintained and business needs are met.
  • Coordinate the movement and storage of display elements with the Visual Merchandise Manager.
  • Keep windows and selling floors appropriately merchandised in line with visual merchandising guidelines between floor sets, window installations, and collection launches.
  • Photograph the entire boutique after floor and window sets in accordance with visual merchandising photo guidelines, for maintenance and submission to the Global Image Team; update photographs in Dropbox whenever boutique changes are made.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, take ownership of projects, and deliver timely results.

Qualifications

  • Ability to thrive in a team environment and work collaboratively.
  • Understanding of and passion for client experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Foreign language skills are preferred but not required.
  • Passion for the House of CHANEL, its history, product offerings, and commitment to social and cultural initiatives.
  • Curiosity and desire to learn and grow professionally within the world of CHANEL.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and email, such as Outlook.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of fashion styling, merchandising, and visual display.
  • Experience working with digital photography and using phone applications to execute projects.
  • Professional communication, attitude, and teamwork with clients, employees, and management.
  • Ability to move heavy items, including overhead lifting and pushing or pulling items up to 25 lbs.
  • Flexible schedule and ability to work late nights, weekends, and some holidays.
  • Full-time, in-store and in-person presence to support client sales and service and drive business results.

Experience

Minimum of 2 years in a similar position or higher, preferably with a luxury brand.
