Chanel in Neuilly-sur-Seine seeks a Visual Merchandising Project Assistant (Apprenticeship) for Fragrances & Beauty.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the Visual Merchandising Project Manager in the conception and development of visual concepts and POS creations for the Fragrances & Beauty division.
  • Translate creative briefs into technical sketches, mock-ups and production-ready artwork in line with brand guidelines.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (product, retail operations, marketing) and external suppliers/agencies to manage timelines, samples and deliverables.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation: moodboards, BOMs, production specs, rollout plans and asset libraries.
  • Assist with quality control checks on prototypes and final fixtures to ensure brand-quality standards are met prior to store deployment.
  • Organize and track samples, store kits and merchandising assets; support logistical planning for store roll-outs and visual refreshes.
  • Contribute to meetings and presentations by producing clear visual materials and progress reports.
  • Support budget tracking and purchase order follow-up as required by the project manager.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a higher education program in visual merchandising, product/industrial design, communication, marketing or a related discipline (alternance/apprenticeship eligible).
  • Strong visual sensibility with an eye for composition, colour, proportion and luxury presentation.
  • Proven organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and strict timelines.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Basic technical drawing skills and familiarity with creating production-ready visuals or mock-ups.
  • Excellent collaborative skills and the ability to liaise with suppliers, agencies and cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to the high finish and standards expected in luxury retail environments.
  • Availability for the full duration of the alternance contract and willingness to travel to stores or suppliers as required.
