Chanel seeks a Visual Merchandising Manager for a 6-month fixed-term contract based at Galeries Lafayette Haussmann, Paris.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead and animate the visual merchandising team, fostering creative dynamism and collaborative problem-solving
  • Establish and execute the operational calendar for display changes, collection installations, and merchandising rollouts across boutiques
  • Evaluate and develop the competencies of visual merchandisers, ensuring effective onboarding and continuous professional growth
  • Define visual merchandising guidelines and oversee their implementation across all department store locations
  • Collaborate with Product Merchandising and Image departments to ensure collection spirit and brand integrity in-store
  • Participate in purchasing decisions and product selection, ensuring alignment with merchandising strategy and brand narratives
  • Manage visual merchandising budgets and tools procurement
  • Advise sales teams on merchandising principles and monitor in-store product performance to optimize merchandising propositions
  • Organize and coordinate special events and animations within boutique environments
  • Maintain competitive awareness and share best practices across the visual merchandising community
  • Support cross-boutique network projects and initiatives across France

Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of progressive experience in visual merchandising, with demonstrated team leadership
  • Strong creative sensibility and fashion aesthetic awareness
  • Proven organizational and project management skills in retail environments
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to execute at scale across multiple locations
  • Demonstrated adaptability to boutique dynamics and retail implications

Experience
