Chanel is hiring a Visual Merchandising Intern in Panama City. Internship role supporting window and in-store displays, moodboards and executions.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the local visual merchandising team in the conception and execution of in-store and window displays that reflect Chanel’s seasonal directives and brand DNA.
  • Prepare moodboards, technical drawings and layout plans to translate global VM guidelines into the store environment.
  • Assist with installation and dressing of displays, including prop placement, lighting adjustments and garment presentation.
  • Help maintain and organise prop and fixture inventories; label, store and track assets for reuse across store projects.
  • Coordinate with retail management and store staff to schedule installations, minimise disruption to sales operations and ensure compliance with visual directives.
  • Contribute to VM project documentation, photography of displays for archives and post-installation reports including basic cost tracking.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree or diploma in visual merchandising, fashion design, interior design, retail design or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrable creative sensibility with a curated portfolio of styling, display or visual work.
  • Strong attention to detail and an ability to execute precise, brand-consistent displays under tight timelines.
  • Reliable, proactive team player able to lift, install and handle retail fixtures and props safely.

Skills

Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) SketchUp (or equivalent 3D/layout tool) Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Moodboarding and visual storytelling Technical drawing and basic scale/layout planning

Experience

No extensive professional experience required; previous retail, styling, or VM internship experience is advantageous. Candidates should be able to present a portfolio of relevant coursework or retail/display projects.

Education

Pursuing or recently completed undergraduate diploma/degree in visual merchandising, fashion, interior design or a related discipline.
