Chanel seeks a Visual Merchandising Executive in Kuala Lumpur to execute luxury window and in-store displays and elevate retail presentation.
Role & Responsibilities
- Execute Chanel's global visual merchandising directives locally, translating seasonal concepts into compelling windows and in-store displays that reinforce brand codes and commercial objectives.
- Plan, build and install store displays, window compositions and fixture stylings to specification, ensuring consistency across the Kuala Lumpur retail network.
- Maintain high standards of product presentation and housekeeping on the sales floor; implement planograms and product adjacencies to maximise visual impact and sales conversion.
- Co-ordinate with store managers, retail operations and the regional VM team to schedule installations, manage VM stock and resolve operational constraints.
- Train and mentor boutique staff on daily visual standards, dressing techniques and stylistic guidelines to ensure continuity of presentation.
- Liaise with marketing and merchandise teams to align visual campaigns, manage timelines and report on the visual programme's retail performance and KPIs.
- Manage modest VM budgets and external suppliers when required; oversee quality control of fixtures, props and signage.
Qualifications
- Proven aesthetic sensibility with strong eye for proportion, colour and luxury product presentation.
- Practical knowledge of window dressing, display construction and planogram interpretation.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple store projects and tight installation schedules.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to train retail teams and work cross-functionally with store leadership.
- Physical capability to perform on-site installations, including lifting and working at height when required.
Skills
Experience
Typically 3+ years in visual merchandising within luxury fashion or premium retail; demonstrable experience executing high-end window and in-store concepts across multiple boutiques.
Education
Diploma or degree in visual merchandising, fashion, interior design, retail design or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
