The Visual Merchandising Associate maintains CHANEL’s boutique image while enhancing the client experience and supporting sales, displays, launches, and events. Reporting to the Boutique Director, with a dotted line to the Regional Visual Merchandising Manager, the role requires at least two years of related experience and an associate degree; a fashion-related major is preferred.
Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain the brand image in the boutique, elevate the client experience, and facilitate the selling process.
- Expedite sales for Fashion Advisors by changing mannequins, retrieving and replenishing products from the sales floor, and substituting display items when products are needed for clients.
- Serve as the store’s point of contact when the VM Lead is working on other projects, during corporate holidays, and on weekends.
- Support the Operations team with product preparation for floor moves and collection launches, including P-touching display items.
- Update digital photo files for visual merchandising maintenance as changes are made.
- Keep window-item documentation current, including SKU, price, and size, for the selling team.
- Assist with implementing events, sales, seasonal installations, corporate events, and other business-driving initiatives in the boutique.
- Communicate effectively with the boutique selling team and management.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of related experience.
- Basic knowledge of retail operations, display, and merchandising.
- Experience with basic computer software and digital photography.
- Associate degree required; a fashion-related major is preferred.
- Ability to work on a ladder and lift 30–40 lb.
- Ability to move heavy items, including overhead lifting, and to pull and push items weighing up to 25 lb.
- Flexible schedule and ability to work late nights, weekends, and some holidays.
- Ability to thrive in a team environment and collaborate.
- Understanding of and passion for client experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Foreign-language skills preferred but not required.
- Passion for the House of CHANEL, its history, product offerings, and commitment to social and cultural initiatives.
- Curiosity and desire to learn and grow professionally within the world of CHANEL.
