Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute visual merchandising plans rooted in brand vision and seasonal concepts, ensuring consistency across all Fashion Division boutique locations
  • Implement Paris-issued VM guidelines and collection messaging while adapting to individual store environments and customer traffic patterns
  • Conduct regular store audits to assess display execution, product placement, lighting, fixtures, and overall brand image consistency
  • Design and install window displays, interior layouts, and event setups for collection launches and promotional events
  • Propose display styling, product grouping, and zoning strategies that maximize product appeal while respecting global collection narratives
  • Train and coach boutique VM teams and sales staff on guideline interpretation, visual intent, and execution best practices
  • Prepare comprehensive VM reports, instruction sheets, and presentation materials using standard business software
  • Coordinate with Paris headquarters and domestic boutique teams to ensure seamless implementation of visual strategy

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of professional VMD experience in luxury fashion, designer brands, or upscale department store environments
  • Demonstrated expertise in implementing global visual guidelines while adapting to local store conditions
  • Hands-on experience with window displays, interior layouts, and spatial design using props, fixtures, and lighting
  • Proven track record mentoring retail staff or collaborating with store teams on environmental improvements
  • Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English (including email correspondence, document review, and meetings with Paris-based teams)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for creating reports, instruction documentation, and presentation materials
  • Preferred: experience with design and spatial visualization tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or SketchUp
