Chanel in New South Wales seeks a Visual Merchandiser in Sydney to conceive and execute luxury in-store and window displays for its boutiques.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute seasonal visual concepts and window displays that reflect Chanel’s brand codes and campaign direction across boutiques in New South Wales.
- Translate global creative briefs into local in-store installations, adapting scale, materials and storytelling to each retail environment.
- Manage the production, installation and maintenance of props, mannequins and visual assets; oversee timely logistics and inventory of display items.
- Ensure consistent planogram and fixture compliance across stores; perform regular audits and corrective action where required.
- Collaborate closely with retail management, store teams, merchandising and marketing to align visual initiatives with product launches and commercial objectives.
- Train and coach boutique staff on visual standards and merchandising techniques to maintain brand presentation between visits.
- Monitor visual impact on store KPIs and consumer flow; recommend adjustments to optimise conversion and client experience.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in visual merchandising or retail display for premium or luxury brands.
- Strong aesthetic sensibility with an eye for proportion, colour, lighting and composition.
- Ability to interpret creative direction and translate it into practical, sellable in-store executions.
- Organisational aptitude to manage multiple rollouts, suppliers and installation schedules.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working with store teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
Skills
Experience
Typically 3+ years of hands-on visual merchandising experience within luxury or premium retail environments, with demonstrated success delivering window and in-store campaigns.
Education
Diploma or degree in Visual Merchandising, Fashion, Design, Retail Management or equivalent practical experience.
