Chanel is hiring a Visual Merchandiser in Paris for the 19 Rue Cambon boutique (CDD). Lead window and in-store displays for the Maison.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Conceive, develop and implement visual merchandising concepts and window displays for the 19 Rue Cambon flagship in line with Chanel brand guidelines and seasonal campaign briefs.
  • Plan and execute in-store set-ups, mannequins, props and point-of-sale installations to maximise product storytelling and commercial impact.
  • Coordinate installation schedules, manage on-site set-up and supervise third-party installers, artisans and suppliers to ensure flawless execution.
  • Translate global creative directives into locally adapted floor plans and planograms, maintaining consistency across the boutique.
  • Collaborate closely with store management, sales teams and corporate Creative/VM departments to align visual direction with commercial priorities.
  • Maintain the boutique’s day-to-day presentation standards, including product rotation, styling refreshes and upkeep of display elements.
  • Manage inventory of display assets and props, oversee sourcing, fabrication and budget tracking for VM projects.
  • Provide VM training and guidance to boutique staff to ensure adherence to presentation standards and visual routines.

Qualifications

  • Proven professional experience in visual merchandising within luxury fashion or premium retail (typically 2–5 years).
  • A refined aesthetic sensibility with a strong portfolio of executed retail displays and window installations.
  • Demonstrable ability to translate creative briefs into technically sound, shop-floor solutions.
  • Excellent organisational skills with experience managing schedules, budgets and external suppliers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to collaborate with store teams and headquarters creatives.
  • Physical ability to supervise and participate in installations (lifting, heights, extended on-foot periods).

Experience

Minimum 2–5 years of hands-on visual merchandising experience in luxury retail, with proven execution of flagship or boutique-level window and in-store displays.

Education

Degree or diploma in Visual Merchandising, Fashion, Interior Design or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
