CHANEL seeks a Visual Merchandiser for its Fashion Boutique Multiplaza in Panama City on a full-time, permanent contract. The role maintains global visual standards, leads window and in-store presentation and collection launches, and supports boutique sales through visual merchandising.
Role & Responsibilities
- Maintain visual standards in line with CHANEL global image requirements, showcasing the vitality of its creations and enhancing the allure of the House.
- Produce, coordinate and maintain window displays and implement in-store animations throughout the year.
- Update in-store visual merchandising through mannequin styling, display refreshes and adaptations for each collection launch.
- Maintain attractive, clean and well-lit windows and compliant assortment displays to welcome clients.
- Implement CHANEL merchandising guidelines and procedures.
- Enhance collection presentations through knowledge of the brand, its heritage, modernity and craftsmanship.
- Embody CHANEL's client relationship promise and handle products respectfully to preserve their integrity.
- Maintain and restock displays daily, rotate products weekly by category, and ensure accurate labels and price displays.
- Inform sales teams of correct display arrangements.
- Order and maintain the visual merchandising tools needed to meet requirements; ensure their quality, monitor tool inventory and communicate needs to the manager.
- Coordinate all aspects of collection launches, including suppliers, merchandise preparation, overnight setup and launch-day execution.
- Lead each collection implementation and communicate effectively with local and regional teams.
- Update boutique displays regularly through photo reports on the IWD platform and collaborate with regional teams as needed.
- Use local tastes, client feedback and sales-team notes to optimize display-driven sales performance.
- Leverage stock to support the boutique's commercial performance through visual merchandising.
- Apply knowledge of luxury goods and fashion trends to develop creative ideas.
- Work closely with stock teams to manage and organize merchandise and visual merchandising tools.
- Support sales teams in achieving targets through visual merchandising strategies.
- Participate in morning briefings and maintain ongoing communication with all teams.
- Participate in off-site events on an ad hoc basis.
Qualifications
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- At least 3 years of proven experience in a similar visual merchandising role in the luxury business.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, sales or a related field.
- Able to work to deadlines and make quick, efficient decisions with confidence.
- Strong attention to detail, innovative thinking and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills for working with varied audiences, including high-end clients.
- Strong knowledge of fashion, style and current visual merchandising trends.
- Able to translate visual merchandising actions into commercial results and best practices, with an understanding of business needs.
- Flair and agility to reinforce collection visibility and contribute to CHANEL’s distinctive client experience.
