CHANEL is seeking a Visual Merchandiser for its Fragrance & Beauty team covering Benelux and Scandinavia, leading campaign deployment across more than 860 Retail and Wholesale points of sale while overseeing budgets, retailer partnerships and permanent merchandising initiatives. The role also supports retail development, brand standards, sustainability and continuous improvement; it is full-time and candidates must be eligible to live and work in the Netherlands.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead deployment of Visual Merchandising campaigns across Retail and Wholesale channels in Benelux and Scandinavia, covering more than 860 points of sale.
  • Translate European campaign strategies into regional activation plans aligned with business priorities.
  • Manage campaign forecasting, allocation recommendations, deployment planning and budget follow-up.
  • Monitor campaign performance and execution quality, identifying opportunities to maximize visibility and impact.
  • Serve as the key regional contact for campaign-related merchandising topics.
  • Own campaign merchandising budgets and forecasts, align investments with business priorities and visibility objectives, and identify ways to optimize spending and improve return on investment.
  • Develop partnerships with key retailers and merchandising stakeholders; participate in discussions and negotiations on campaign visibility and merchandising investments.
  • Partner with commercial teams to maximize share of space, visibility opportunities and launch impact.
  • Work with the Merchandising Project Manager on permanent merchandising initiatives across the Wholesale network.
  • Support openings, renovations, relocations, concept evolutions, visibility enhancement projects and major retail development projects as needed.
  • Align campaign activations with long-term merchandising objectives and support strategic visibility initiatives.
  • Ensure consistent application of Visual Merchandising guidelines and brand standards across the region.
  • Maintain merchandising documentation, databases, concepts and best practices.
  • Support capability building through training, coaching and knowledge sharing with field teams and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to sustainability initiatives, including recycling, asset recovery and responsible merchandising practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement of merchandising processes, tools and ways of working.
  • Maintain a collaborative team mindset and a 360-degree view of merchandising activities across Benelux and Scandinavia.
  • Collaborate with the Merchandising Manager and Merchandising Project Manager on regional priorities and business continuity.
  • Contribute beyond direct areas of ownership to support the overall success of the merchandising function.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Marketing, Business or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Merchandising, Trade Marketing or Marketing, with strong exposure to campaign management and retail activations.
  • Experience in retail, FMCG or luxury.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch, French or Scandinavian languages are a plus.
  • Collaborative team player able to work independently and support a team.
  • Available to work full-time and living in or around Amsterdam.
  • Eligible to live and work in the Netherlands.

Experience
