Role & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate international inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery and cost-efficient transport solutions.
  • Prepare and validate customs documentation and declarations in full compliance with Swiss and international customs regulations.
  • Classify goods using HS codes and manage duties, taxes and preferential origin documentation.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers and internal stakeholders (procurement, production, distribution) to resolve operational issues.
  • Monitor customs clearance processes and follow up on inspections, transit, and temporary admission/temporary export procedures.
  • Maintain accurate customs records and support audits and regulatory inquiries.
  • Identify opportunities to optimise transport routes, tariffs and lead times while ensuring compliance with export controls and trade sanctions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in logistics, international trade, supply chain management or related discipline.
  • Proven knowledge of Swiss customs law and international trade regulations.
  • Experience with tariff classification (HS codes), Incoterms and preferential origin rules.
  • Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to documentation accuracy.
  • Fluent professional communication skills for liaising with external partners and internal stakeholders.

Experience

Minimum of 3 years’ progressive experience in customs, international transport or freight forwarding; experience within luxury goods, manufacturing or complex global supply chains is highly desirable.

Education

Bachelor's degree in logistics, international trade, supply chain management or equivalent.
