Chanel is seeking a Time and Attendance Specialist to support accurate, compliant timekeeping and payroll operations, assist employees and managers, and improve data quality and processes. The role is partially remote and requires at least three days in person at the Piscataway, New Jersey office; the anticipated annual base salary is $68,600–$102,100.
Role & Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage the Time Off inbox, providing timely, professional support to employees and managers.
- Review, process, and track timesheet adjustments in accordance with company policies, approval requirements, and payroll deadlines.
- Audit time-off, attendance, and leave balances to identify discrepancies, missing transactions, and exceptions requiring resolution.
- Monitor outstanding time-off and timesheet requests and follow up with employees and managers to ensure prompt action and approval.
- Validate timekeeping data before payroll processing and communicate identified issues to the Payroll Specialist and Payroll Manager.
- Guide employees and managers on timekeeping processes, time-off policies, and system navigation.
- Maintain accurate, complete documentation of adjustments, approvals, and employee communications.
- Partner with Payroll system administrators to resolve timekeeping issues, improve data accuracy, and enhance the user experience.
- Support periodic audits, reporting, system testing, and time-and-attendance process improvement initiatives.
- Support ad hoc projects and other payroll- or timekeeping-related activities as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience with UKG Pro and UKG Pro Workforce Dimension is a plus.
- Basic understanding of payroll processing and timekeeping practices.
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Technical aptitude and a strong understanding of input/output.
- Comfort analyzing large data sets.
- An associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related finance field is preferred.
