Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead material sourcing and sampling to meet style requirements and Chanel's quality and compliance standards
  • Manage core offering inventory and oversee the material showroom, coordinating collection material refinement and Fabric to Sketch delivery
  • Coordinate material development across the supply chain; book production materials and optimize pricing while ensuring industrialization for manufacturing
  • Conduct risk analysis for materials and products; provide technical feasibility assessments and advise on product design aspects
  • Manage supplier relationships and attend trade fairs; conduct competitive intelligence and visit suppliers and manufacturers to develop category expertise
  • Drive process innovation initiatives; identify and evaluate new process suppliers and transformation technologies
  • Ensure quality handover and technical liaison with manufacturers during prototyping and sampling phases
  • Propose cost optimizations for products and materials; develop PRI enhancements across the supply chain

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of proven experience in ready-to-wear leather
  • Expert knowledge of leather materials and their treatments
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal capabilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collection data management tools
  • Fluency in English and French
