Chanel is hiring a Tech Lead, Data (Microsoft Fabric) in Paris — Lead data platform delivery and engineering on Microsoft Fabric for Chanel.
Role & Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end design and delivery of data platform capabilities on Microsoft Fabric, ensuring scalability, performance and security.
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary data engineering team; set technical direction, review architecture and enforce engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with data consumers across analytics, merchandising, retail and e‑commerce to translate business requirements into robust data solutions.
- Define and implement data governance, lineage and quality processes in partnership with compliance and data management stakeholders.
- Drive CI/CD, observability and operational excellence for pipelines, data lakes and analytical artifacts; manage technical debt and platform roadmaps.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership of data engineering teams with strong delivery ownership and stakeholder management skills.
- Deep technical expertise with Microsoft Fabric or comparable modern cloud data platforms and data lake architectures.
- Solid understanding of data modelling, ELT/ETL patterns, data governance and information security in regulated environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional partners and translate business needs into technical solutions.
Skills
Experience
Minimum of five years in data engineering or platform roles, with at least two years in a technical leadership capacity delivering production data platforms, ideally on Microsoft cloud technologies.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or a closely related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
