Chanel Les Ateliers Seoul seeks a Tailor & RTW Care Assistant on fixed-term contract to manage alterations, inventory, and operations support.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage daily receipt and administrative processing of RTW alteration requests, confirming scope, information completeness, priority levels, and delivery timelines
- Track alteration project status updates and maintain related records systematically throughout the service lifecycle
- Support tailor task assignment and scheduling coordination to optimize workflow and resource allocation
- Coordinate and supervise quality inspection and product handover preparation for completed alterations
- Identify delayed, suspended, or incomplete projects and escalate to relevant boutiques or stakeholders promptly
- Manage tailor daily attendance, address system discrepancies, and coordinate monthly scheduling including leave, half-days, and external assignments across boutiques
- Oversee inventory intake, unpacking, verification, and secure storage of RTW products received from boutiques for tailoring
- Monitor incoming and outgoing record-keeping for garment bags and alteration-related merchandise
- Manage global RTW Spare Parts inventory, including intake, outflow, stock status tracking, and procurement support
- Maintain comprehensive documentation including alteration requests, handover records, work status logs, and operational files with systematic filing and archival
- Execute product movement operations twice daily upon alteration completion
- Provide operational and scheduling information to relevant departments on request
- Serve as primary communications liaison between tailor teams and boutiques, escalating issues and coordinating schedule changes
- Support assigned tailor teams deployed to flagship stores and partner locations (Shinsegae Daegu, Shinsegae Centum) with onsite guidance and attendance at training sessions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year university programme or equivalent qualification
- 2–3 years of professional experience in fashion retail, garment alteration/after-sales services, tailoring, quality assurance, product management, logistics, or administrative operations support (internship experience counts toward this requirement)
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel)
- Fluency in written and spoken English sufficient for basic business communication with international teams
Skills
Experience
2–3 years of professional experience in fashion retail, garment alteration or after-sales services, tailoring operations, quality control, product management, logistics, or administrative operations support within the luxury or fashion sectors. Internship experience may be counted toward this requirement.
Education
Bachelor's degree from a four-year university programme or equivalent qualification. Background in fashion, apparel studies, or related disciplines is preferred.
