Role & Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver sustainability projects focused on raw materials (textiles, leather, components) from initiation through to implementation and reporting.
- Define project scope, timelines, milestones and KPIs; manage cross‑functional stakeholders including sourcing, product development, CSR, and quality teams.
- Engage and support suppliers to improve environmental and social performance, implement traceability measures and monitor corrective actions.
- Conduct material assessments and support Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) activities to quantify environmental impacts and inform material choices.
- Prepare technical specifications, supplier questionnaires and documentation required for internal approvals and external audits or certifications.
- Collect, analyse and synthesise data to produce concise management reports, presentations and sustainability progress updates.
- Ensure alignment of projects with company sustainability targets, industry standards and relevant certification schemes.
- Support the deployment of material traceability tools and contribute to continuous improvement of sourcing processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental science, sustainable development, textile engineering, materials science or a related discipline.
- Proven track record (typically 2–5 years) working on sustainability, sustainable sourcing or raw materials projects within fashion, textiles or luxury goods.
- Strong project management capabilities with experience coordinating cross‑functional teams and external suppliers.
- Knowledge of environmental assessment methodologies (LCA) and familiarity with sustainability standards/certifications (e.g., RWS/RDS, GOTS, FSC) or equivalent.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills; able to translate technical data into actionable recommendations for commercial and product teams.
- Professional proficiency in French; strong working knowledge of English.
