Chanel seeks a Governance Manager in Neuilly-sur-Seine to lead indirect supplier base rationalization, transformation, and team management.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Pilot and enforce supplier intake control mechanisms across Chanel's indirect procurement ecosystem in France, ensuring all new supplier requests comply with Procurement policies and contribute to supplier base rationalization
  • Serve as the validation authority for supplier creation requests, guaranteeing strict application of governance rules and prioritizing existing preferred supplier lists
  • Lead indirect supplier governance transformation by deploying new processes, conducting change management with business units, and delivering strategic reporting to French CFOs
  • Manage the Governance Administrator, including objective-setting, task prioritization, capability development, and quality assurance reviews
  • Conduct detailed spend analysis by category to identify long-tail suppliers and consolidation opportunities; present findings and recommendations to Global Category Managers
  • Collaborate with Category Managers to categorize suppliers by activity and expertise; ensure accessibility of Preferred Supplier Lists through Coupa, creation forms, and AI-assisted tools
  • Design and administer long-tail purchasing strategy by category, including consolidation toward PSL and deployment of alternative procurement channels (VMS, Rejolt) in partnership with the S2P RPO
  • Lead configuration and deployment of enhanced creation forms and AI search agent within Coupa; serve as functional subject-matter expert for supplier governance tools and processes
  • Develop and disseminate internal communications on new procurement policies, supplier panels, and digital tools; organize and deliver training sessions on PSL adoption and alternative channels
  • Create and monitor strategic KPIs including active supplier count, PSL coverage and utilization rates, and tool adoption rates; produce regular executive reporting to French CFOs on project progress, blockers, and successes
  • Serve as primary point of contact for S2P RPO, Finance, and Category Managers on supplier management matters; manage escalations and complex, sensitive cases

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of experience combining indirect procurement, data analysis, and change management
  • Confirmed experience in international corporate environments
  • Strategic vision of indirect procurement and supplier panel management
  • Strong data analysis capabilities including spend analysis, segmentation, and long-tail identification
  • Proficiency with P2P tools, ideally Coupa, and comfort with digital and AI-assisted platforms
  • Proven track record in change management and internal communication
  • Demonstrated ability to structure processes and formalize methodologies
  • Influencing leadership — capacity to engage business units without direct hierarchy
  • Collaborative spirit and assertive yet diplomatic communication style
  • Entrepreneurial mindset capable of building a function from the ground up
