Chanel seeks a Makeup Product Development Coordinator in Pantin, France for a 5-month contract role beginning September 2026.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead technical feasibility analyses of makeup formulas in collaboration with contract manufacturers and subject matter experts in regulation, toxicology, microbiology, and analytical chemistry
  • Develop and maintain project timelines in coordination with cross-functional teams including marketing, packaging, finished product qualification, manufacturing, and procurement
  • Conduct formula homologation studies in accordance with internal processes and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor the progression of formula developments and coordinate all subject matter experts across the project lifecycle
  • Represent formula-related expertise within the project team and disseminate relevant information and key decisions
  • Alert management to challenges and deviations; propose corrective action plans
  • Execute physicochemical stability monitoring and characterization controls to establish product specifications
  • Participate in scale-up activities at contract manufacturer facilities to validate pilot trials and initial industrial batches
  • Administer technical data from contract manufacturers in information systems and compile documentation for the regulatory dossier
  • Establish bulk and finished product specifications and train site quality teams on product-specific requirements to ensure successful project handover

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree plus 5 years in chemistry or related discipline
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in cosmetic product development, formulation, or pilot manufacturing
  • Strong foundational knowledge of makeup formulations, color science, and demonstrated product sensibility
  • Fluent English language proficiency
