Chanel seeks an experienced Garment Care Specialist in Aubervilliers for a 12-month contract with La Sirène, specializing in luxury textile restoration and pressing.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Diagnose stains according to nature, textile composition, and age, applying La Sirène protocols for grease, oxidizable, coloured, protein, tannin, and colour-transfer stains
  • Execute precision stain removal on delicate textiles and sensitive embellishments (embroideries, sequins, leather, tweed, muslin) using appropriate tools including extraction tables and steam equipment
  • Perform pre-treatment stain removal, including preparation and colorfastness testing, to preserve the integrity of luxury garments
  • Press high-end textiles and luxury pieces with sensitivity to fibre type (silk, cashmere, muslin, tweed, wool, organza), achieving impeccable drape and volume retention
  • Complete finishing work according to couture standards: perfect hang, volume retention, crease verification, and line/trim alignment
  • Hang or fold garments according to 19M standards prior to delivery
  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail and quality control throughout all processes

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in garment pressing/stain removal, high-end dry cleaning, couture workshop, or industrial laundry
  • Excellent knowledge of natural and synthetic fibres and textile composition
  • Mastery of professional stain removal and pressing techniques
  • Confirmed experience cleaning and pressing delicate, embellished, or luxury-grade pieces
  • Meticulous attention to detail with an appreciation for exceptional craftsmanship
  • Ability and willingness to learn innovative techniques
